Namesto dolgih govorov je Bratina smisel novega pristopa, ki je potreben v odnosu do manjšin, zaupal besedni igri. Besedo “etnos”, je dejal, naj bi poslej pisali “et-nos”, kar v latinščini pomeni “tudi mi”. Vsak, tudi “manjšinski jaz” naj bi torej dobil svoj status in polnopravno priznanje v Evropi.

Instead of employing long speeches, Bratina expressed the point of the new approach needed in the relation towards minorities with a play on words. He said that the word “ethnos” should thereafter be written “et-nos”, which in Latin means “we too”. Every, even a “minority I” is thus supposed to get their own status and a full recognition in Europe.
